Enlists Vserv.mobi for help becoming a 'predominantly mobile company'.

Yahoo and mobile ad network Vserv.mobi have sealed a 'strategic alliance,' which will support the search and entertainment company's plans to monetise mobile content across Southeast Asia. Key markets are to include Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

It comes as Yahoo mobile services attract around 300m monthly visitors globally, while president and CEO Marissa Mayer, said: "We intend to participate fully in the innovation and experimentation required to make mobile a material part of our business."

Vikas Gulati, VP of business development in Southeast Asia, Vserv.mobi, added: "Reflecting our strategic vision of enabling a win-win proposition for all our stake-holders, we believe that today's announcement will rake in lucrative benefits for both Yahoo! and the advertiser ecosystem.
