Dedicated app for the Mozilla platform will be available when devices launch.
Mozilla showcased its new mobile web-based Firefox OS at MWC yesterday, which will launch with support from four OEMs and 17 operators. Twitter has now joined the bandwagon, and claims a dedicated app for the platform is in development.
Like its other apps, Twitter for Firefox will sport Home, Connect, Discover and Me tabs. The social network also boasts a 'unique feature' called Web Activities, which 'lets you tweet photos directly out of any app that also supports web activities such as the built-in photos app'.
Manuel Deschamps, staff engineer, Twitter, added: "We're excited about the future of Firefox OS, and look forward to phones shipping with support for our new Twitter app."
