Facebook has taken the decision to remove the messaging function for its main app to force people hands when deciding whether to download its messaging app or not.
European users will be receiving notifications informing them of the change before it officially comes into play, reports Tech Crunch.
Even though Facebook claim that the messenger app will offer a better user experience, it is obviously that this is going to piss some people off. I mean, who likes being told what to do?
The messenger app has a serious WhatsApp feel to it, and with free calls being added to the services as well, it could – once people have calmed down – become even more of a preferred mobile messaging platform.
