Digital news stand app says it is now responsible for more than 300,000 subscriptions a month
Zinio is one of a number of services attempting to aggregate digital editions of magazine and newspapers in one place. It has more than 5000 titles in its offering.
The firm seems to be benefitting from the tablet boom and is also present on over 50 smartphones across multiple operating systems including iOS, Android, Windows Phone and more.
And it’s confident of more growth to come, quoting research from Gartner that says e-reading will have 35 million users this year, growing to 208 million by 2015.
Joan Sola, president of International, Zinio, said: "There are more mobile phones and tablet devices in the USA than there are people, and we believe that the world will indeed have twice as many connected devices as people by 2015.
"This should be and is a huge incentive for publishers to migrate swiftly to digital distribution. Our reach across all operating systems positions Zinio, and our publisher partners, to uniquely grow alongside the exploding device market."

Zinio now looks to entice new service users with £15 credit to redeem any magazine up until March 2012.
Chris Wilkes, VP, App Lab, Hearst Magazines, said: "Digital distribution is now responsible for more than 300,000 subscriptions per month, and we look forward to continuing to focus on reaching our customers with innovative new features, on every device they are reading on."
The platform was born in 2001 and is available in 33 languages, 30 currencies and has offices in the US, UK, France, Spain and Taiwan.
