3G-enabled games machine hits its second Latin American launch.
Zeebo has announced that its Qualcomm-backed wireless games console is going on sale in Mexico, following its launch earlier this year in Brazil.
The Zeebo console lets users download games over the 3G network, and is being supported by a range of mobile games publishers.
In Mexico, it will be sold in more than 2,000 stores with an RRP of 2,499 Mexican Pesos (around $189), which includes a controller, keyboard, five free games and one hour of internet access.
The free games include Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, Pac Mania, Tekken 2, Zenonia and Zeebo Family Pack.
Other publishers supporting the console at launch include Capcom, Com2uS, Digital Chocolate, EA Mobile, Gameloft, Gamevil, Glu Mobile, Namco Networks and PopCap Games. All games will be fully localised.

Meanwhile, Zeebo has also signed a deal with Mexican animation firm Huevocartoon to develop a series of games for the console, kicking off with a title based on feature film Una Pelicula de Huevos.
In another local deal, Zeebo is working with Interlingua to produce training and educational content for the device, widening its use beyond gaming.
"“For Mexican consumers who are faced with a difficult choice between a personal computer to support
their children’s education and a video game system to enjoy family entertainment, Zeebo offers the
consumer a compelling alternative,” says CEO John Rizzo.
