Mobile social media specialist Zedge has signed an ad deal with Smaato.

It’s integrating Smaato’s Open Mobile Advertising platform (SOMA) to maximise ROI from its 11 million users. SOMA is an advertising exchange for publishers and developers that aggregates close to 20 mobile ad sales networks globally.

Zedge is a destination site for free user generated mobile content, including ringtones, videos, wallpapers, themes, games, free tools, applications and widgets. It also offers third party content owners tools to mobilise their content.

 “We have come a long way since we introduced our SOMA open mobile advertising platform. If publishers today have more than 10 million page impressions per month, they need to look for the best possible solution to maximise their inventory,” said Ragnar Kruse, CEO of Smaato.
