Zed has made a big move into the Flash space with the acquisition of Mobitween.
The Spanish D2C giant’s swoop for the French developer and publisher of Flash-based content brings with it more than 100 in-house titles.Mobitween also has direct distribution agreements with operators in Europe and the US, including Verizon Wireless and Orange.
It's Zed's first sugnificant bit of M&A activity since it secured a 92.5 million euro credit line last month to aid its expansion strategy.

Mobitween builds Flash Lite mobile gaming portals that enable players to play, rate, share and post hi-scores through a customisable mobile client.

Flash is still a relatively small part of the mobile games space, but it is arousing interest as the market explores more casual concepts.
Unlike say, Java, it also requires minimal porting between devices. More than 500 million Flash Lite-enabled devices have shipped worldwide to date.
