The SurfKitchen White Label App Store gives operators a self-build kit for Android, Blackberry RIM, Symbian and Windows Phone 7 apps.
The platform builds on the basic technology that just-acquired Surfkitchen has evolved over the years to tackle discoverability, usability and fulfillment challenges associated with traditional VAS delivery.
It's been used by Orange Group, Telstra and others.
Now, inevitably, the platform has been re-engineered to run apps stores. As such it delivers a storefront, pre-integrated app catalogue, app launcher and mobile server.
In so doing it reduces time to market and minimises the risk involved in building the required IT infrastructure and developer relations.
Michel Quazza, chief executive officer, SurfKitchen, said: “Faced with increasing competition from OEM applications stores, operators need to be able to streamline this process and by delivering a complete end-to-end mobile application store as a managed service offering, we are able to leverage our vast experience to dramatically simplify it.

"This is an extremely powerful proposition as it allows operators to increase mobile data revenues and customer loyalty by achieving rapid time to market across an unrivalled range of handsets.”
Meanwhile SurfKitchen has also announced a deal to supply NTT DOCOMO with an on-device portal solution to give customers quick access to mobile TV, social networking and games etc.
