One in five 12-24 year-olds in the US have listened to personalised radio service Pandora in the last month, according to a survey conducted by Edison Research.
"Not only have 20% of 12-24 year-olds listened to Pandora in the past month, but 13% have done so in the past week," blogs Edison's Tom Webster.
"If you examine weekly online radio listening, you can't avoid the fact that more than twice as many young Americans have listened to Pandora lately than have listened to the online streams of terrestrial AM/FM stations."
The data isn't specifically mobile: it's focused on online radio services more generally. However, mobile has been a key element in Pandora's growth in the last year.
Last month, founder Tim Westergren said the service is currently activating 100,000 new users a day through its mobile apps.
