Marketing agency will offer its clients mobile app placement on the GetJar marketplace
The deal means a host of apps from blue chip brands will start appearing through GetJar's channels as part of the company's strategy to bolster its vast free catalogue with premium content.
It also means that GetJar is now part of the YOC media network where it will sit along alongside the likes of Haymarket, IDG Communications, Accuweather, Telegraph Media Group, News International, The Independent, Flirtomatic, 3G Hutchinson and Hachette Filipacchi.
GetJar recently revealed that its monthly downloads hit 55 million in October, up 267 per cent from 15 million in October 2008.
Patrick Mork, VP Marketing at GetJar, said: “The opportunity for brands and advertisers to reach a large, measurable and targeted audience on GetJar is vast. YOC brings to the table its excellent relationships with many of the world’s leading brands which is essential for GetJar as we look to bring on board high quality, premium content to sit alongside our catalogue of more than 50,000 available applications.”
