YESfstore aims to kickstart Facebook e-commerce market

Platform targeting the "2.5m Facebook users who want to sell from their pages".

The YESFStore platform was unveiled yesterday by YesWallet, which also launched a white-label mobile NFC wallet called Pouch (see story here).

YesWallet believes there's a huge untapped market for social commerce on Facebook, which can embrace both major branded content owners and smaller eBay style merchants.

It's targeting those who want to sell physical goods rather than those in the digital goods market, which thanks to Zynga et al, is pretty well-established.

YESfstore therefore has used Facebook APIs and its own well-established payments back-end to lets users host Facebook storefront pages from where they can sell products and services.

The company believes there is a huge untapped opportunity here, with users such as Lady Gaga sending fans from Facebook to third party sites when they want to buy stuff.

It also points to the 34.5m 'likes' for and 250,000 users in regular dialogue with a brand like Coca Cola, but the complete lack of transactions taking place.
