Yahoo wants to make using its website and mobile site a more seamless experience.
The company has announced plans to revamp its website, including the ability for users to add 'apps' to their personalised homepage, pulling in information and content from other Yahoo or third-party services.
However, when someone then logs into the mobile version of Yahoo's site, it will remember their preferences and adapt accordingly.
"If you set something up on the homepage, you seamlessly see that on the mobile device," said Yahoo SVP Tapan Bhat yesterday, according to MocoNews.
It sounds like a small feature, but it could be important: many sites still present an entirely separate experience to their users on mobile, even when the web version is highly customisable.
The news follows Yahoo's announcement last week that it was letting mobile users opt out of its targeted advertising.
