Yabba dabba Glu

Another day, another deal for Glu Mobile – this time the games giant has bagged worldwide mobile games and content rights to Warner Bros' movie and cartoon catalogue.

The deal, with Warner Bros Digital Distribution, covers blockbuster new releases and a huge archive of classics including  popular cartoon brands such as DC Comics, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbara.

Through a separate agreement, Glu will also distribute select Warner Bros. Entertainment’s mobile games in 2007 throughout North and South America, including Ocean’s Thirteen and 300.

It’s another key win for Glu, which has spend the last few weeks and months securing the kind of high profile IP needed to maintain a presence on operator decks all over the world. Other recent partners include Activision, Sega, Codemasters and Microsoft.

Greg Ballard, CEO of Glu, said: “This multi-year partnership with Warner Bros. reinforces Glu’s position as a leading independent publisher of mobile entertainment and speaks to our ability to develop and deliver quality content to consumers around the world.”
