Windows Phone prepares for 'secret cinema' night

Microsoft teams up with shadowy film exhibitor for mystery movie showing in London.

The Secret Cinema organisation is running a Halloween special event this saturday as part of a long-term partnership with Windows Phone. In keeping with tradition, the secret London venue will be revealed just days before the guerrilla film event.

Last time out, a screening of The Warriors at London Fields attracted 2,500 followers. Consumers are slowly drip-fed hidden clues released about the secret movie. Secret Cinema says the Halloween event is nearly sold out.

“Secret Cinema is a great partnership for Windows phone.  We all want to connect quickly to the people and information that’s important to us and share our memorable experiences as they happen,” said Alex Reeve, director, mobile business group, Microsoft UK.

Windows phone will allow trick or treating revellers to interact via live mobile streaming and share photos and video via social networks. The long-term Secret Cinema and Windows phone pact will continue into the New Year.
