313 newbies are launched per day.
All About Windows Phone reports the milestone, which was achieved in 20 months, faster than Google Play's 24 months, though it was slower than iTunes' 16 months.
Of course, putting it into context, the WinPho Marketplace still has a long way to go to catch up with Android and iOS, both of which have passed the 500,000 mark.
There are around 313 new apps being launched for the platform each day, and 50,000 apps were launched five months, more than halving the 14 month period it took to reach 50,000 apps the first time around.
However, just 88,000 apps are currently live on the market, a result of developers removing their creations, while others remain in limbo for updates.
Unsurprisingly, 68,529 apps are published in English, while German, French and Spanish follow with 6,231, 5,627 and 4,401 respectively.
