WIN to offer voice shortcodes

WIN has became the first supplier to introduce premium rate voice shortcode numbers.

The service will help service and marketing companies use a single, memorable five digit number to handle both incoming voice and data calls on premium rate services for the first time. It means WIN can provide a one stop shop for both shortcode messaging and shortcode voice.

WIN’s platform incorporates interactive voice recognition number translation, voice mail and a divert option when the line is busy.

Sally Weatherall, MD, New Media of WIN plc, commented: “Our voice shortcodes will now provide companies and consumers with an easy-to-use and remember reliable method of voting, buying and interacting with services and organisations.”
