Gamers lose their minds over controller add-on.
The release of the Wikipad tablet is some way off. but the company of the same name has revealed the specifications of the device.
Some details have changed from when the machine was debuted at CES, and now the Wikipad will have a 10.1 inch screen instead of the seven inches previously touted.
What's more, the glasses-free 3D capabilities have been removed from the first planned version of the tablet, although later versions may see the feature return.
The Wikipad will also ship with at least 16GB of internal storage, though the amount of local storage hasn’t been finalised. However, according to Fraser Townley, president of sales at Wikipad: “We will not go down, we will only go up.”
Wikipad say the tablet is capable of six hours of continuous gaming and eight hours of video playback, and the device has a built-in 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

Possibly the most exciting part of the Wikipad is its gaming controller add-on (pictured). The controller also has a port so gamers can connect it to a power source and the tablet will be cloud gaming enabled, using the Gaikai streaming games service, which is owned by Sony.
The device will ship with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and the controller add-on.
