T-Mobile UK is to offer access to over 1,200 WiFi hotspots with its Webn'Walk service.
New customers will automatically get WiFi access in locations including Starbucks coffee shops, airports, main-line train stations and service stations across the UK. Speeds of up to 8Mbps are available.Prices for Web’n’Walk start from £12.50 per month. The service allows customers to use a mobile to access the internet through a laptop. T-Mobile claims to be the only mobile operator that currently includes WiFi access with its mobile broadband price plan.
The operator also recently announced a deal with 3 Mobile to integrate their 3G access networks, which will give both companies almost complete population coverage in the UK for 3G services such as mobile broadband.
