'YouTube for authors' community to embrace new Apple device from March launch.
The material on Wattpad is created by the community of users. Anyone can publish what they have written, and all the content is accessible on Wattpad's website, mobile site or through the Wattpad app via iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and more.
“No doubt Apple has created a game changer for ebooks,” said Ivan Yuen, CTO of Wattpad. “An iPad optimized version of Wattpad will be available when the iPad goes on sale in March.”
Wattpad claims its library has over 250,000 ebooks created by the community, and receives 10 million monthly visits.
