Massively multiplayer online game part of cross-platform push.
With Warner’s latest superhero movie Watchmen hitting UK cinemas this Friday, the studio has now announced that an iPhone MMO game based on the movie will be released later this month.Named Watchmen: Justice is Coming, the game is described by Warner as an online RPG where players create their own avatar and take to the streets of New York.
Meanwhile, the official Watchmen iPhone app was released in Europe by Paramount Digital Entertainment (Paramount is handling the movie internationally) last week. Glu Mobile is due to release the tie-in Java mobile game too.
Tomorrow sees the release of Watchmen: The End is Nigh on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC. The download-only title is a prequel to the cinema outing and is dubbed a ‘mature brawler’ by Warner.
