The capital injection, raised from existing and new shareholders, will be used to accelerate growth in the US and EMEA.
And leading the drive will be new CEO Simon Lavers, who has worked for IDG and Activ Australia, and has long experience as a corporate investor in the new media space.

Wapple is one of the market's longest established mobile web specialists.

It offers a number of platforms – Canvas, Architect and Exhibit – that give brands, web agencies, marketing firms and developers the ability to deliver optimised mobile web content.
Wapple currently has more than 25,000 global licensed users of its software products.
The firm's founders Rich Holdsworth and Anne Thomas will stay in their current roles, while John Leftwich continues as company chairman.
