Sony Ericsson has added two new Walkman phones to a range that has already sold over 26.5 million.
The W910 is an HSDPA device while the 3G W960 comprises internal an 8GB internal memory – enough to store 8,000 songs. Both devices also offer SensMe, a feature that lets users create playlists based on tempo and style rather than on artist or album. Alongside this, Sony Ericsson also revealed a new mix of applications and services that make it easier to get music on to the phone. They include a new version of Media Manager PC for better organisation of music (and photos, video clips and podcasts) from PC to phone.
Media Manager eases music transfer, playlist creation (to a pre-determined length of time, for example), image management (a PC backup of favourite shots taken on the phone) and media feeds. It replaces the Disc2Phone software included with earlier Walkman models.
Meanwhile the handset giant also upgraded its Cyber-shot range with the addition of the 5 megapixel K850 and also unveiled the clamshell 1.3 megapixel Z320.
