Future global shipments of Walkman phones will be pre-linked to Vringo
Video ringtone specialist Vringo has announced that its award-winning free video service will globally pre-linked to all future shipments of Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phone.The link will be promoted through Sony’s Fun and Downloads portal and could potentially introduce millions of new users to Vringo.
“Our partnership with Sony Ericsson is unprecedented,” said Vringo CEO Jon Medved. “In addition to being the first social video ringtone application to be downloadable directly from Sony Ericsson phones, we’re reaching millions of Walkman users—one of the most innovative, media-hungry audiences in the world.”
This partnership follows Vringo’s special recognition at the Sony Ericsson Content Awards in the imaging category.
