Vodafone to launch Android app storefront?

Reports suggest eight European markets will have the store embedded on handsets from June

There's speculation that Vodafone is planning to launch its own version of Android Market in eight European countries this summer.

Developer BlueMedialab told Mobilegamesblog.com that the Android App Shop will be part part of Vodafone’s 360 experience and will be managed by Germany's Arvato Mobile, which is actively seeking out games and free apps from content providers.

It seems that Voda will be embedding the App Shop on its operator badged handsets from June and will be offering developers a 70:30 rev share on content sold.

Vodafone territories included are the UK, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
