Vodafone launches parenting website

Idea is to give parents a place to wring their hands about kids' online activity.

The Vodafone Parents’ Guide has been developed with parenting website Mumsnet as a resource that explains social media access to location technology, cyber-bullying and the risks of meeting strangers online and so on.

Its two sections are ‘Get to grips with technology’ and ‘Get involved and stay in control’.

Carrie Longton, co-founder of Mumsnet, said: “With technology developing at such an incredible pace, it’s great that Vodafone has produced an online resource to help us understand it.  The feedback from the parents on Mumsnet was very positive and many felt they learned a huge amount while they were testing the site.”
