Vlingo launches in the UK in proper English

Understands wardrobe, pavement, zed, postbox and nappy.

Vlingo is the voice search company that makes the Virtual Assistant for Android.

Users speak to their phone to send text and email messages, search the web, get directions on Google maps, update Facebook or Twitter status, and more.

It says the UK is already its second largest market, but that this new edition adds localised speech for better results.

(interesting the the press release used the Americanised version of 'localized' - with a z).

Vlingo is available for Android 2.x and above for free. It's also on the Samsung Apps marketplace.
