Virgin Media goes with Motricity

Chooses MobileCast solution to personalised HTML5, audio, video and text content to Virgin smartphone users.

MobileCast is part of Motricity’s hosted Mobile-as-a-Service (MaaS) platform. It includes publishing tools that reduce the time to design and develop marketing campaigns by brands and operators using it.

They also get the expected reporting and 'insight generation' tools, so they can tweak campaigns for the best results.

It works across Android, RIM, Windows 7 and iOS.

Graeme Oxby, executive director of mobile and home phone at Virgin Media, said: “Our mobile customers are doing more with their phones, watching great TV from Virgin Media Player, enjoying music, videos and games and managing their customer accounts whilst on the move.

"MobileCast helps us deliver a fantastic user experience and we’ll continue to bring market-leading mobile services to all of our customers.”

Virgin is a quadplay operators with mobie, broadband, TV and landline services.

It's the first big customer for MobileCast, which was launched in Q3 2010.

Motricity's other customers include Reliance Communications, AT&T and Indonesian mobile operator XL Axiata.
