LG says its sold 310,000 of its touchscreen Viewty phones across Europe in two months.
The numbers are impressive and suggest that, rather than being damaged by the similarly touchscreen-based iPhone, the Viewty may have benefited. The five-megapixel Viewty, with an embedded link to YouTube, has been selling 6,300 units a day, which exceeds the LG set with successful earlier models, Chocolate and Shine.Sales of LG Viewty are expected to grow further following it recent launch into the Asian and Middle East markets.
