VidZone has added EMI's library to its D2C music download platform.
The new 'DRM-free' content - including music from the likes of David Bowie, Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue - beefs up VidZone’s recently launched cross-platform solution, an offering that lets third parties launch mobile/PC download services with a single account.VidZone bagged full access to the Sony BMG UK catalogue earlier this month.
The company has also integrated full WAP billing capabilities into the service, which will be available to customers from all UK mobile operators.
VidZone CTO Michael Russo said: "We believe music lovers should be able to access their complete music library from a single account, independent of the platform or retailer they consume from. Together with partners like EMI and its DRM free content, we are now able to deliver music in a format optimised for complete portability and customer satisfaction."
