Vidzone's international march

Mobile and digital media publisher VidZone has added 15 territories to its distribution base.

The UK company will now make available its catalogue of independent music to India, Mexico, Iceland, Egypt, Dubai, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine, Bolivia, Jordan, Malta, Bahrain and Kuwait.

The repertoire includes content from artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Stereophonics, Maximo Park, Freemasons and Bloc Party.

Vidzone says the expansion is widening the mobile music options for subscribers in these countries beyond ringtones to full track music. “With 3G coverage increasing globally and the handset manufactures finally releasing new music enabled mobile phones in all international markets, the demand from consumers to download more than 30 second realtones is now firmly underway in many new markets with the arrival of FTMD and Music Videos” says CEO Adrian Workman.
