Taking publishers to iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, Pre and Windows Mobile.
Verve Wireless and The Associated Press have teamed up to offer a white-label service for publishers to launch their own mobile apps.
It means newspapers, magazines and news sites will be able to go mobile without having to develop their apps in-house.
The platform is based on the existing AP Mobile app, which the news network says has been downloaded by more than 2.4 million people across various smartphones.
The White Label App Solution - as the new service is called - will help publishers launch on iPhone, but also Android, BlackBerry, Nokia, Palm Pre and Windows Mobile handsets.
It'll all be controlled through a central dashboard provided by Verve, which also supports mobile websites. Customers will also be able to deploy various forms of advertising within their apps and sites.

"Building an app from scratch is time consuming and costly, there are numerous things to consider, and we want AP member news outlets to leverage what we've learned from our experiences with AP Mobile," says Jeff Litvack, AP's general manager of mobile and emerging products.
