Velti to power permission-based ads for Vodafone Portugal

Promo4U service sends discounts and exclusive offers to opted-in customers.

The three year programme will be powered by Velti’s mGage technology platform, which gives operators the option to deliver offers through multiples channel at chosen time and frequency.

It's yet another agreement is what is becoming a highly competitive space, with rival firms such as Out There Media and Upstream also highly active across Europe, the US and Asia Pac.

Stephen Upstone, Velti's VP of sales and business development for Europe, said: “We’re extremely excited to begin deployment of our Permission Based Advertising program to help Vodafone Portugal build even deeper relationships with its customers.

"We hope that this will be the first of many partnerships with the Vodafone companies.”
