That's five billion sent since August.
Urban Airship provides a platform through which developers and brands can drive extra engagement with users through notifications sent from within the app.
The messages can alert the user to loyalty incentives, upgrade info, promotions and more.
Its 20,000 customers include Dictionary.com, Groupon, Yahoo, Weather Channel and Warner Bros – and total messages recently passed 6bn.
“As mobile marketers become more sophisticated about the ways to reach consumers, we are increasingly seeing innovative companies adopting push messaging as a key customer engagement strategy”, said Scott Kveton, CEO, Urban Airship.
“10 billion push notifications brings us into a messaging league few others have reached.”
