Upstream targets Middle East with Dubai office opening

Mobile marketing specialist makes move after successful campaigns with Saudi Telecom Company, MTN, Glo Nigeria and Nestlé.

Upstream works with operators and brands to create loyalty building campaign based around offers and incentives.

These campaigns are all managed by its Marketing Communications Suite (MCS), which has run over one billion interactions in 22 languages to date, and generated more than $500m incremental revenue for its clients.

Upstream says these clients also benefit from MCS’ ability to analyse millions of interactions on a real-time basis to deliver key insights into mobile marketing campaigns as they roll-out.

Alex Vratskides, CEO of Upstream, said: “Establishing a regional base in the Middle East is an important and exciting step for Upstream and we’re pleased to bring our innovative mobile marketing techniques and technology to the marketplace.

"The region’s operators are open to new ideas and subscribers are hungry for interesting content, information and entertainment on their mobile.”
