More than 20,000 charities supported.
The latest version of PayPal's iOS app lets users donate to more than 20,000 charities from their iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
In the UK, those charities include BBC Children in Need, Cancer Research UK, Save the Children and UNICEF.
PayPal is pitching the new feature as a way for people to donate to charities without having to sign up or worry about being overloaded with marketing materials afterwards.
"This is something we’ve always wanted to be able to use the app for, so we’re really happy to be launching this update, and hope that lots of charities benefit from the upgraded features," says PayPal's head of mobile in the UK Petra Jung.
"The ability to donate quickly and securely will hopefully mean many more people follow through with their charitable intentions."

As far as ME is aware, this is the first time such a donation feature has been approved for an iPhone app by Apple.
Users can also use a location-based feature to find charities near them, and post details of their donations to Facebook.
