'Data cleanses' messages to make campaigns more cost-effective
UK based messaging service provider txtNation is improving its systems after demand for its SMS messaging services grew 200 per cent on last year.
The new HLR lookup allows businesses to verify a mobile number and helps mobile marketers check which mobile network the customer is bound to. It's capable of processing several thousand messages per second.
SMS is becoming an accepted form of CRM for businesses in all spheres, and HLR makes text campaigns more ROI efficient as messages are sent only to valid mobile numbers.
Michael Whelan, txtNation's director, said: "HLR is a frequently requested tool from our clients that wish to combine the use of mobile number lookup with their Bulk SMS and sometimes even billing activities. Put simply, we simply could not ignore this demand."
txtNation believes HLR Lookup is more than just an add-on and has the potential to be a core offering in its own right.
The firm also planning a new, upgraded bulk SMS Gateway.
