Tweetie app approved by Apple after initial rejection over bad language. Won't somebody think of the children?
The third party Tweetie 1.3 app has now been granted a place on the App Store after Apple initially rejected it on grounds of indecency. As The Register explains, Tweetie offers users access to Twitter Trends, which shows the most popular words or terms being used on the micro-blogging service.
In turns out these words are often sweary/explicit in nature, hence Apple's initial ban.
But now the censors have seen sense and Tweetie is available to download to all who want it. Don't you just love a happy ending?
