Value added services for business top of the money-making agenda.
Twitter is planning to offer businesses specific premium accounts, through which they can presumably stay in touch with clients or pump out marketing messages.
Reuters has the scoop based on an email sent to it by Twitter co-founder Biz Stone in which he said: "We think there will be opportunities to provide services to commercial entities that help them get even more value out of Twitter. If these services are valuable to companies, we think they may want to pay for them."
Twitter is a micro blogging service that allows users to send 140 character messages to other people in the network.
So far the service has been offered free of charge, but there has been much interest in how the company intends to monetize all its traffic.
