There are apps to tweet, and apps to broadcast live video from your iPhone. But imagine an app that did both simultaneously...
Well, imagine no more. Japanese company Sidefeed has launched TwitCasting Live, which it describes as "a Twitter client with live broadcasting service (visual and sound streaming)... a best tool for those who want to do interactive live broadcasting with Twitter."
It's a step on from existing livestreaming iPhone apps like Qik and Ustream, although it's also fair to say that it wouldn't take much for either to add live-tweeting to their featuresets.
TwitCasting Live lets users broadcast over 3G or Wi-Fi, and according to MobileCrunch has been used for 50,000 broadcasts in its first four weeks on the App Store.
However, for now only 750 people can tune into a particular stream at any one time, although the company is boosting that next week.
