Version 1.3 of Twitter app taking on Tweetie 2, Echofon and the rest.
iPhone-owning Twitterers are spoilt for choice when it comes to apps - there are numerous high-quality ones to choose from on the App Store.
Tweetdeck - based on the desktop Twitter client of the same name - is one of them. It's just been updated to version 1.3.
The key new feature is a location-based addition: geotagging. It uses Twitter's geo API to allow users to automatically geotag tweets with their location.
Tweetdeck's iPhone app bolsters that with a new map feature, letting users browse tweets on a map, zooming in to see what people are saying.
Version 1.3 also adds more support for Twitter's recently-launched lists feature. The features will help it to compete against rivals like Tweetie 2 and Echofon.
