Broadcaster to make European App Store debut using insanely popular boys brand
Turner Broadcasting has teamed up with digital design studio ustwo to create its first branded iPhone app in the UK and Europe, in the form of Ben 10 MouthOff.
The app will be available from October 11th and is also ustwo’s first foray into branding around their MouthOff app, which it says received more than 40,000 downloads when initially launched.
Ben 10 MouthOff uses original animation and sound effects from the eponymous series, the Ben 10 app is an exciting new development in the apps market.
The idea is that Ben 10 fans can impress their friends by emulating the mouth movements of their favourite alien characters, placing their iPhone in front of their own mouths and seeing the visuals on the handset move in correspondence to their speech.
Ben 10 is created by and airs on Turner Broadcasting's Cartoon Network in the UK.

Joe Braman, Commercial Director, Mobile, Digital & DVD at Turner Broadcasting, said: ”As the stellar boys brand of the moment, Ben 10 was an obvious choice for our first iPhone app, but we didn’t want it to be something we did just for the sake of it. ustwo’s app really stood out to us in terms of innovation, creativity, usability and longevity, the key components for a successful app.”
