Software converts tracks to proprietary ivs3 format for sharing
TronMe has released a free iPhone app to complement its existing desktop-based music remixing software.
The app uses the proprietary ivs3 file format which, at a basic level, allows users to remix their favourite tracks by shaking their iPhone.
Social interaction is very much at the heart of concept - TronMe says that the more people that use its desktop player to convert their music libraries to the ivs3 format, the bigger the pool of tracks gets, thus making them instantly available to what it hopes will be a growing community for iPhone/iPod users.
