A new Ofcom report reveals that the UK has taken over Japan as the world leader in mobile use.
2. Apple rolls out iOS 6.0.2 to fix Wi-Fi bugs
Apple has today released iOS 6.0.2, a minor update aimed at fixing Wi-Fi issues on both the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, as well as a number of other minor bugs.

Today sees the launch of the Beta version of Marmalade’s support for the Windows 8 Phone, which is designed to enable the fast deployment of games and apps for the hotly anticipated new platform.

Engagement levels for location-based features in rich media mobile ads grew by 185 per cent in the third quarter of 2012, Celtra's quarterly Mobile Rich Media Monitor Report has revealed.

9. Over 60 per cent of Americans expect mobile payments to replace cash and card
The uptake for mobile payment instead of card or cash transactions appears to be growing, after a new survey by Harris Interactive found that over six in ten Americans believe smartphone payments will replace both of the aforementioned methods.
