Version 1.3 of the satnav tool available to download today
TomTom has released an updated version of its iPhone app, with new features including HD traffic compatibility and Local Search powered by Google.
The highly-anticipated HD Traffic feature - which relays real-time updates and re-routing - comes at a price, however. It will cost an additional £0.59/£4.99/£11.49/£37.99 per day/month/quarter/year, respectively.
The other new features, meanwhile, are available as part of the v1.3 download for free to anyone who already owns the TomTom for iPhone app.
These include Local Search (powered by Google); pinch and zoom map UI; latest maps; automatic day/night mode; and music fading.
There's also an 'Add to my TomTom' feature', which saves locations from other iPhone apps and web browsers to the TomTom app.
