Portuguese mobile content aggregator to deploy the g-box mobile video streaming platform.
Portugal-based mobile content aggregator TIM w.e. has licensed the g-box mobile video streaming platform from UK specialist Gorillabox.The non-exclusive deal will see TIM. w.e. offer g-box powered services to a raft of operator partners, including Telefonica and Vodafone, with discussions underway with new customers in Europe and Latin America.
Christian Harris, founder and CEO of Gorillabox, said: "It’s a great opportunity for Gorillabox. This partnership will provide us with lots of scale over a short timeframe, and working with TIM w.e. globally with many different operators will open up new avenues for us."
Gorillabox launched back in October, offering streaming mobile TV services on either an ‘à la carte’ basis or as a fully managed service, including content creation, WAP site design, billing, search and advertising.
