Content specialist launches OPEN Pro service, developed with help from Universal's A&M/Octone.
Thumbplay has begun offering a marketing solution that it says will enable record label marketing departments create artist-led portals from which to manage and sell mobile and online content.
OPEN Pro also comes bundled with what Thumplay is calling its Widgetron widget maker, which takes the form of an automated tool that can create bespoke content and playlists.
Universal’s A&M/Octone Records beta-tested the Widgetron for the Hollywood Undead (pictured) release Swan Songs.
