Console publisher's mobile unit posts healthy Q3 as parent company struggles.
THQ Wireless generated sales of $6.2 million in 3Q08, up 27.8 per cent form the same period a year ago. Mobile now accounts for 3.7 per cent of THQ's overall business.However, like EA last week good performance in mobile wasn't matched across the rest of the company, which posted a $115.3 million loss for the quarter and announced 250 job cuts.
In terms of other 3Q mobile games earnings to date, Gameloft posted revenue of €26.2 million, up eight per cent.
