THQ reports wireless revenues of $1.5m for Q3

Hoping for smartphone resurgence.

Games publisher THQ continues to struggle in the mobile market, having reported $1.5 million of revenues for Q3 this year.

That's down from the $2.8 million it made from wireless in Q3 2009, meaning that mobile now accounts for just 1.9% of the publisher's overall revenues.

iPhone and iPad are still very much on the company's radar, as part of its wider attempts to grow its digital business, though.

"We continue to execute on our strategy of integrating a digital component into all of our key franchises, including downloadable content and games on the iPhone, iPad, Facebook, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network," said president and CEO Brian Farrell.

THQ's wireless division has been releasing games and apps based on its Star Wars licence, and today launched its latest movie game: DreamWorks Megamind (pictured).
