Looks a lot nicer than the iPhone version.
UK newspaper The Times has launched a premium iPad app, which will cost readers £9.99 a month to subscribe to.
The app went live on the App Store this morning, in time for the UK iPad launch. It costs £9.99 to download, and the same charge will be billed every 28 days - so accurately, it's £9.99 for not-quite-a-month.
The app certainly looks polished, with screenshots showing that it captures the look and feel of the newspaper, while taking advantage of a touchscreen UI for faster navigation.
It certainly looks cleaner and classier than the iPhone app which was released for The Times earlier this week, which looked more like someone had scanned in PDFs of the print edition.
Add the £9.99 monthly charge to the £35 being asked for a monthly subscription to Sky's mobile TV app for iPad, and News Corporation is clearly hoping for a revenue bonanza from tablet owners.

Will the company get it? That remains to be seen, but rival media owners will be looking on with interest to gauge its success.
