The Guardian to revamp mobile services

UK newspaper promises a simplified service that will be optimised for all mobile browsers, including iPhone and BlackBerry.

Guardian News & Media is to relaunch its mobile services, which have been built in partnership with Bluestar Mobile, Mobile IQ, Momac, Roundpoint and WIN.

The new look will be unveiled next month at m.guardian.co.uk, which willa lso carry advertising from 4th Screen and Google Ad Words.

In addition to offering its mobile services on a direct-to-consumer basis GNM has secured deck placement on Vodafone, with discussions ongoing with other operators.

Emily Bell, GNM's director of digital content, said: "It has been our strategy for a long time to put Guardian journalism in front of as many people as possible on as many platforms as possible. The way it was structured in the past made that difficult but the site rebuild and the new platform means far easier access to content."
